There has been some super engagement with this term's Learning Challenge, which you have been putting lots of time and effort into - keep it up!
Once again, I've included links to a PE session everyday, for your well being.
Also remember that TT Rockstars and Letterjoin should also be visited as part of your daily lessons. The video on how to access Letterjoin is on the class menu page.
Finally, I will be available every day on Google classrooms from 2:30 - 2:45 pm to answer any questions or have a chat about your work.
Enjoy your studies,
Take care,
Mrs Hignett

Use these as inspiration to complete your task sheet. You are to begin just with pencil drawings and once you've made notes on the similarities and differences between them do your own. (See task sheet). You can even do a bigger version if you like!

Research suggestions for your learning challenge - look at the 'Spring 1 Homework' page on the Y5 menu - this has lots of information, resources and fascinating websites to help you.

This is related to the work you did in History last week when you 'interviewed' an evacuee. Today in your History lesson, you will create a poster and complete an activity about what you will put into your suitcase. I would like you to begin a diary about your life as an evacuee. As you pack, what thoughts and feelings are going through your head? What concerns will you have, both about the place you are going to as well as who you're leaving behind?
This task will take 2 days - you need to have 5-6 paragraphs of well developed sentences.
You can look back to last week to the clip about evacuees, as well as watching the video link below, and looking at the power-point.
Begin your work:
Dear Diary,
I can't believe I've got to leave my parents behind and move to the countryside. I'm told it's for the best since the bombing has now started...

Read the RE document below.
Archbishop Malcolm and Bishop Tom look after our Archdiocese of Liverpool following the example of Jesus the Good Shepherd.
Think about these questions:
How does the bishop guide the people of his diocese?
- Why does the bishop wear a mitre?
- What is a crozier like and why is that symbol used?
- How is the bishop like a shepherd?
Your task is to draw a picture of either Archbishop Malcolm or Bishop Tom and label it with the following information:
1. A cross to show they walk in the footsteps of Christ.
2. A mitre to symbolise the 2 sources of authority – the Bible and the Church.
3. The crozier – to show they are like a shepherd.
4. The ring to show they are faithful to God and to leading their people.
